Slow living at Velanga Orchad

My wife and I visited Velanga Orchard in Andhra Pradesh, hosted warmly by a lovely couple. We stayed in a beautiful wooden cottage that immediately transported us back to village life, surrounded by serene mango orchards. The host couple's hospitality was exceptional—the husband took great care of the orchard and organized memorable activities, including kayaking at a nearby lake followed by a barbecue night under the stars. Meanwhile, his wife ran a delightful pottery studio. The next day featured an insightful fermentation workshop on traditional achaar-making. To cap off our stay, we enjoyed a gentle hike up the mountain, capturing an unforgettable sunset view. The entire experience beautifully evoked childhood memories of village visits spent stargazing and enjoying meals cooked over a traditional wooden chulha. I'll cherish this deeply relaxing and soulful experience for a long time.
